TRAINING & ENGAGEMENT OFFICER
Tees Valley Women’s Centre is looking for a passionate, supportive and person-centred Training & Engagement Officer to join our small and dedicated team in South Bank, Middlesbrough.
This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference to women’s lives — helping women overcome barriers, build confidence and take positive steps towards their personal, educational and employment goals.
We’re looking for someone who is warm, approachable and non-judgmental, with experience in training, learning, employability, engagement or community-based support.
The successful candidate will work directly with women to understand their individual goals and aspirations, identify opportunities for learning and development, and provide encouragement and practical support throughout their journey.
You’ll also work closely with training providers, community organisations and partner agencies, helping us develop opportunities and reach women who may otherwise struggle to access support.
Based at: Tees Valley Women’s Centre, Upper Albion Street, South Bank, Middlesbrough, TS6 6XG
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday–Thursday, 8.30am–4.30pm
Salary: £28,705
Closing date: Friday 6 November 2026

CHILDCARE LEVEL 3 PRACTITIONER – TEES VALLEY TOTS
Tees Valley Tots Nursery, part of Tees Valley Women’s Centre, is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team in South Bank, Middlesbrough.
Due to the continued expansion of our nursery, we have an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and helping young children learn, grow and thrive.
We are a small but busy nursery providing a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment for children from birth to five years.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
You’ll be responsible for supporting the individual needs of children, planning engaging activities based on their interests, caring for key children and taking an active role in the daily routines of the nursery.
We’re looking for someone who is warm, patient, creative and reliable, with a genuine passion for working with young children and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
Applicants must hold a relevant Level 3 childcare qualification, such as Early Years Educator (EYE). Recent experience working within the EYFS is preferred, along with a Paediatric First Aid certificate or willingness to undertake the required training. An appropriate DBS check will be undertaken as part of the recruitment process.
Based at: Tees Valley Tots Nursery, Upper Albion Street, South Bank, Middlesbrough, TS6 6XG
Hours: Minimum 20 hours per week, term time only
Working pattern: Monday–Friday, with flexible hours between 8.00am and 5.30pm
Salary: Competitive rate of pay
