Over the summer, Tees Valley Women’s Centre was delighted to be part of a very special community art project, bringing women together to create a beautiful mural celebrating the Centre, its history and its place in the South Bank community.
Led by talented local artist Jessica Leigh, the project involved women who attend the Centre in sharing ideas, exploring their creativity and helping to bring the mural to life.
From the initial workshops and designs to the painting and final unveiling, it has been a wonderful journey of creativity, collaboration and community spirit.
We are delighted to share this special video capturing the entire project from start to finish, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how the mural came together and celebrating everyone who played a part.
A huge thank you to Jessica, all the women involved, and our supporters, including Teesworks Benevolent Foundation and TS6 Pride in Place, for helping make this project possible.
Our finished mural is something we can all be proud of and a lasting celebration of the women and community at the heart of Tees Valley Women’s Centre.
